[Lt. Dean Winchester is new to this unit, transferred over from a unit farther north. His reputation, however, precedes him. Crackshot with a riffle or a revolver, dangerous with a saber, and not to be underestimated in unarmed combat. Apparently a POW had thought to take him out in the mess hall and been brutally maimed with a spoon. He was a master of "found weapons." He didn't speak much, and when he did his French was abysmal, slow, and heavily accented. He was 100% American, that much was clear.
