News from the Lame paso
Nothing new about the news.
I'm currently jobless and partaking in the wonderful hunt many Americans are finding themselves in. John and I are talking more about the future and I like it.
Army: As far as we are right now John is in the beginning of a two month "recovery" status. He is part of the wounded warrior unit and goes towork in the AM comes back an hour and a half later, then has the whole day. Its been nice. As far as my knowledge is concerned we will have an oppurtunity to re-enlist in March requesting Range quadrin (drill SGT. like for a field area) and requesting Fort Benning in Columbus, GA. For numerous reasons. For one we love Georgia. I have a medical network there and if thats a 6 year duty station we will probably start our famly there (who wouldn't wanna start your life in beautiful GA) . I have many school oppurtunities to finish my BS in dietetics (or realted too) then there is an online Masters program i found and all paid for by the army. My BS with the GI (available to me next Fall) and then Masters though a spouse portable education progrm (will pay up to $6000) which is enough for my masters. While I take my internship.
El Paso: I just met a sister who moved here and lives not to far from me. I can't wait to hang out with her a little more. Then I h ave Veronica who is from Italy and is another wife in John's Untamed Performance car club. Shes so fun AND bonnus she is a ONE TREE HILL FANATIC! So we have set a One tree hill season premier night Sept. 14! The boy are like spitting images of each other as far as their interests go. Both in the R&R and car club as well.
Today: I woke up realizing (6months later) we did not move into this house with a mirror thats been passed down in my family. I had a hard time dealin gwith that this morning and I am going to call the realtor tomorrow. I pray its either at the dumb mexy's house or in the real estate office. You learn to appreciate things when they are gone. :'( Woke up bummed as all get out. Went Window shopping online, Figured out our bills for this next pay check. We are doing a really good job at eating dinner at home, last night was our first time eating out since our birthdays. Then John went outside and picked and pulled the stickers from the front yard because it was just tacky looking. El paso has had a lot of rain more than normal here. So while he did that I decided we have been here for 6 months and have not had one friend come over. So I rearranged our furntiure downstairs, put our rug in the living room. Once I found a arrangement i was happy with I put it alllll aside and vaccumed the heck outta the living room. Next is to tackle the kitchen and downstairs bathroom and then next weekende I'm thinking BBQ or just friends come over for beer and drinks and what not.
Halloween: Its just around the corner (kinda), I've decided I wanna be a Circus Ringleader, definately because of the Circus Tour. Don't know what john is going to be. Veronica and her husband Dwayne are going to have a halloween party for the car club. So I am going to give her the FAILed attempt left over stuff we have like reciepes and decorations. I think I am goin gto keep some and make them and bring them over to help her out as well.
Just a little great update of my jobless life at the moment. Still reallly bummed about the mirror. I am praying that it pops up somewhere. But for now I am goin gtto head to our CLEAN and spotless downstairs of a house and enjoy some more HGTV or FOOD network.
