So, I've decided that maybe I'll travel now and work later, lol. That sounds pretty good to me ; ) I just don't know if I want to accept a job and then have to quit so soon after, so when it doubt, leave the country! Yeah traveling sounds nice, and I agree taking a job and then quitting so soon doesn't always work out to your advantage in the long run. I would travel too, but it's not just car payments I need to make...there is also the issue of funding myself to travel. It's great if you have parents who will pay for it, but for the majority (like 99%) none of our parents are going to say they will front up money. Yeah, car payments and rent hold some people back, but it's worth having a car but if you have no payments then there are no problems to just up and leave whenever (payments depend if it's a new car or not and if you have loans) if you are going to be commuting back and forth from differnt places frequently. I would rather much be in control of my mobility than relying on the bus system. If I weren't commuting to grad. school and work, traveling would be nice, but it isn't an option right now. Sure it sucks doing so but it's reality, at somepoint we all have to pay bills. Maybe I misinterpreted what you were saying, and if so tell me. I am not trying to argue with you, it just seems that you're apology to those with financial committments made the wrong choice in your eyes. And perhaps those who needed to rent and get a car did so for other reasons other than just a personal choice. Afterall, who wouldn't want to be travelling??? ;)
