Note: This was originally posted by me on Spn Bunnies (under my non-sock LJ) over 2 years ago. I figured I'd put it up here and see if I get a nibble. Since it really doesn't have any kinks listed, I didn't put it up at spn_kinkmeme. I wish we could repost old prompts on the bunnies comm. If you like it, go for it. Jared Padalecki is a young homicide detective. He and his partner are investigating three murders that have occured during the three nights of the last full moon. The partner (who's a bigot) thinks it's a wolf from the local pack. So Detective Padalecki's Lieutenant brings in an expert, Jensen Ackles. He just happens to be a werewolf and part of the local pack (and the prettiest deadly being Jared's ever seen). One who knows about investigating (has hunted rogue weres in the past) and security (he advises the pack's Alpha on security measures both personal and business). Jared doesn't hold with his partner's views of Werewolves being monsters who should be annihilated along with their human friends (and in some cases - mates).
The murder victims have tooth marks, but weren't killed by wolves (natural or Were). Jared's pretty much clueless about what werewolves are like and Jensen gets defensive when his pack is once again, blamed for something its members didn't do. However he is willing to teach Jared the truth.
Their attraction is mutual even if one is highly confused and the other distrustful.
