So I kinda flipped out on my boss today over a project. One of my developers, Chris, and I had been working on a new order form for the main site for awhile. It launched a few months back, only to get pulled within hours due to complaints from the sales floor (they didn't like the validation, requiring that the data was input correctly). Yesterday, we were suddenly told we had a few hours to get it finished and back online, so we launched it again this morning, and then a few hours into the day, I'm told to disable it. So I flipped out. I don't like spending hours and hours working on things, just to be told to pull it because of a few whiners.
I guess I made a pretty big scene, because I had several of the SEO Techs in the next room comment on it. A few thought I was about to quit. I wasn't that pissed, but very little upsets me more than being told to cancel something I've spent a long time working on - especially when I was very recently under pressure to complete it on time and did complete it on time.
But... I managed to keep the new order form up. That's the advantage to rarely getting visibly angry - when I am clearly angered over something, people tend to listen more than they would otherwise.
