The greatest thing about living in a house with gas appliances is waking up to cold water because the pilot light went out.
This time, unlike last winter, I'm not turning it back on before work. I used to do that last year. That meant that since I was always the first one up by at least 30 minutes, the water would be warm by the time I left and everyone but me would get a hot shower. Fuck that, I'll do it when I get home.
Tony, if you want a warm shower, theres a long lighter in the utensil drawer and directions on the water heater on how to re-ignite it. If you've never done this before(as I hadn't prior to last winter in this house), it's not hard.
