I have not only been on Vacation from school, but also from my livejournal it seems. But I am back! Hope you didn't miss me too much.
I have had a great few days, but am not looking forward to the next few ones. As much as I am excited about this new step Burgess and I are taking together, before we get to enjoy it, we have to move in to the appartment, I have some applications for summer positions due, we have to set up phone/internet/cell phone etc... I have to buy my supplies and books for school and I am sure I will have ridiculous amounts of reading to do as soon as I start up again. But that is for tomorrow and the next day, for today I must pack and say goodbye to Vancouver for four months.

My birthday was wonderful, I spent the morning with my mom, the afternoon with Burgess on a "tour of Vancouver" getting little gifts along the way and enjoying this beautiful city in a way we don't normally take the time to do, and in the evening I laughed and laughed and laughed some more with my best friends...oh and I think Wayne Brady was there too (hehehe).

The next day we picniced and I got to meet Rita, the beautiful girl who surprised me by showing up, roses in hand and all! To my surprise the Caprice Lounge was not only a nice place to have dinner atmosphere wise it also was relatively reasonalbly priced. My theory is that they make their food a little cheaper to encourage everyone to drink more. Three Bacardi Breazers later I think their plan worked! Although I didn't get to dance as much as I would have liked at the club, I managed to get some in and it was all in all a wonderful evening.

I sometimes get upset when things do not turn out exactly the way I had them planned in my mind; for example when someone I really want to be a part of something is not there. I have to learn to not be like this; I have to understand that nothing ever goes as planned. This is something I am working on but it's a jouney I suppose before I can actually just shrug off something like a few of my friends not being able to dance with us because they forgot that I had mentioned to them that Caprice has a dress code. I got to see them, and went for a little walk with them but that menat I left my other friends behind; you really can't be in two places at once unfortunately. No matter what, I had fun and I hope all the wonderful people who were part of it did as well. Parizad; you are the only one (other than Burgess) who was able to spend both days with me and I want you to know I really appreciate it (despite it being Vista birthday overload!). Bnaifer and Shawn; you both shared pretty much the entire time with me and I hope you realize that both of you are incredibly important parts of my life! And to all my other amazing friends: THANK YOU! I love you guys!

It really was a Happy birthday :) But now I must pack.
