I broke mah foot!
I don't even know how this happened.
A little while ago, I noticed that my foot was kind of irritated when I put on a specific pair of shoes. Not my 4 inch pumps, but my one and a half inch pumps. It was odd, but I didn't think much of it.
My best guess as to where this got started was when I was doing laundry, because I always hurt myself when I'm doing laundry. It's consistent as gravity, and I'm pretty sure I opened the door over my foot and slammed the bone in question. Again, I thought that would just be a bruise, and I didn't think much of it.
...Until yesterday, that is. I was being silly, pulling Dan backwards out of the kitchen, and he stepped on it. Then it really started hurting and turning purple over one specific area. It was randomly shooting pains up my leg all night, and when I woke up this morning and went to stand up on it I almost screamed.
Upon inspection, my foot was about 75% larger than normal (which is saying something because my feet are pretty small) and I decided that I was just going to elevate it, take the day off work, and go to the doctor for an X-ray.
I just got back from Boynton, and we have determined that I have a fractured metatarsal.
That one! Right there!
So! I'm not supposed to go anywhere if my foot is as swollen as it was this morning, because since the fracture is clean, it could pull my bone out of place and cause it to heal incorrectly. So! I get to wrap my foot for the next two weeks, kill my kidneys with 600 mg of ibuprofen every four hours, and alternate hot and cold as long as I can stand to. I'm already getting sick of it.
