Bulgarian blondes or no--and how many languages do you think Gabriel can speak?--Gabriel and Sara have a great flirty/snarky vibe and chemistry to spare. If the writers ever felt like giving us whole episodes just of the two of them sparking and bantering at each other, I would be very happy. And the "sweetie!" at the end... aw! Gabriel sure takes a beating well and makes it look pretty.
I wonder about his past. He has a lot of connections for someone so young, and there are suggestions that he was cautious/paranoid even before getting involved with the Witchblade.
Ian continues his habit of flirting in a creepy way with the other men in Sara's life. Is it evil of me to enjoy that? Nah. Love that "You have nice eyes" right before putting Gabriel in the same neck hold Ian2 used before killing him in the last finale.
Gabriel out in direct sunlight seems so wrong....
Yay for protective Danny and the reminder of Jake's FBI ties. Wonder if the White Bulls will show up again? So far they don't have enough rope to hang Sara with if they do, but that can change. Danny almost remembering Gabriel was fun, especially since Danny had been dead at the time he last met him. No wonder he backed off fast.
I know that a lot of people didn't like the X-Files-ish plot, but I did. I was far more annoyed by the interminable JFK segments. The man was a great public speaker and had a stylish wife, but he was hardly a saint. He was a part of the Bay of Pigs debacle after all and had a very messy private life. PR-wise, dying as a kind of martyr before he had a chance to make any hugely public mistakes or unpopular decisions helped his hagiography.
So I liked this episode a lot aside from the St. John moments. And next week--tonight, now--we have Eric Roberts!
