I had my first physical therapy appointment for my bad ankles Wednesday, and after talking to me and looking me over, they're going to work on strengthening my ankles and my glutes since my leg muscles are stiff and weak in places. I've had a "rolling" walk for many, many years but this is the first time anyone's really clocked it as contributing to my ankle problems. I've even gone to PT for sprained ankle strengthening a few times before.
Let's give it a shot.

I went to Ulta today to shop for concealer. (My dark undereye circles are a Thing.) To compare shades, I swiped a line of Morphe concealer and a concealer from Ulta's own brand on the inside of my left wrist. Aside from both smelling really bad, those two lines of concealer made my skin immediately start burning, so badly I immediately tried to remove them. Water and a tissue got a lot off but didn't stop the burning. Since I had an expiring coupon and specifically made a trip to this Ulta, I decided to retry the Ulta concealer on my right wrist to try to figure out which one was the culprit. It took longer to start really burning but burned nonetheless, leading me to believe I had a skin contact reaction to both of them. I wiped off that concealer line too with water and a tissue. Having run out of unaffected wrist skin and spooked by having a bad reaction to two different brands, I left with nothing.
(By the way, although employees at Sephora often ask if I want help with something, the employees at this Ulta absolutely didn't give a shit. The only reason one even talked to me was to bitch at me for using what they said is their sanitized station for the water. She claimed there was makeup remover stuff somewhere in a general direction she waved to, then walked away. She didn't show me where and I didn't find it. She had zero reaction to me saying I'd needed the water because a concealer was burning on my skin and I needed to get it off immediately.)
Afterward, my skin was still burning. I washed my wrists with soap and cold water. Still burning. Applied hydrocortizone cream and that eventually made the burning fade. 15 hours later, my wrist skin hurts if it brushes against anything.
I am seriously spooked about trying other brands now. And so glad I didn't put the Morphe or Ulta on my face.
