Blasted from the Past
Randomly, I found out today that Lileks still exists and there are even entries in The Gallery of Regrettable Food, even if the original entries have been published as a book and taken down. He even updated the gallery in 2022. (Most younger people have no idea how awful and thoroughly unappetizing food looked in photos in old recipe books and menu cards.)
Interior Desecrations is devoted to some interior design horrors you have to see to truly believe, though I have hazy memories of some of this. The 1970s are strong in this category.
Some of the images are somewhat pixelated since they're old, but do you really want to see this stuff in high definition?
And please check out The Gobbler Motel & Supper Club. It no longer exists in real life, but I wish I could've seen it in person at its acid trip, wtf heyday.
