Bloomingdale's window displays have been mostly disappointing and generic for months, and Bergdorf Goodman has been eh, but last night Saks Fifth Avenue had some pretty windows inspired by the looks of Mr. Malcolm's List, with some of the film's costumes included. Plus, I have some cemetery shots up. You can see everything at
my Flickr.
I had a bit of a scary time at some points during my time out in the city in the 4 am hour, where I was walking around Saks feeling my legs start to lose power and feel weaker and my head start to swim a bit, at which point I decided I better go home now. My hands started to feel a bit numb, like they were filled with cotton balls, as I drove the last mile. It's been a while since I felt the weakness that bad, though my hands' sensations do get weird at times.

I dyed my hair with a L'Oréal Superior Preference shade of red I haven't used before,
Chic Auburn Brown. So far, it's much darker than the box suggested, something that previously only happened when I used Féria. (But at least, unlike Féria, this dye doesn't have pink or purple tones it's not supposed to have.) I'll have to see how the color develops over the next few days, since that's how my hair goes when I dye it at home.

I haven't seen many movies recently but heard things that partly suggest why that is: movies that don't give the audience what you'd think they would. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is about wizard politics, not fantastic beasts. (On that one, I also don't want to give JKR any of my money.) Jurassic World Dominion is mostly about locusts, not dinosaurs and their relations with people. Lightyear is about mostly being stuck on one planet instead of space adventures. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness shows a multiverse for maybe one minute.

When I went to vote in the state primary, I only found out once I got there that the site I've been voting at for many years is no longer where I should be voting due to redistricting. No advance notice by mail. The new location is farther away from my home. This is the third time this has happened since I moved here, and each time is farther away.
I'm still reeling from recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings and Clarence Thomas. Would be nice if federal Democrats would do something about them other than reciting poetry, singing on steps, yoga, telling citizens to vote harder, and e-mailing me for donations. At least my state's representatives are looking for workarounds on Roe and guns.
I was dealing with anxiety and depression more than usual lately even before this. Now?
