But I still wish I was with you

I had a doctor's appointment in Manhattan today, so I took advantage of my time there to scope out the state of their holiday decorating. (Queens girl that I am, my first phrasing of that is always "So I had a doctor's appointment in the city today...") Bloomingdale's was kind enough to have a notice that their window unveiling was happening the night of 11/18 but Bergdorf and Saks weren't so kind. This is the scheduling internet research gave me:

Bloomingdale's: 11/18
Bergdorf Goodman: The Present Moment Is, 11/18???
Saks: Let's Holiday, 11/22
Rockefeller tree-lighting ceremony: 12/1

Bergdorf had a few of its side, simpler windows open, but today's intense sun was absolutely not a good setting for taking window display photos:

For day shots, you get less "interference" on the glass on overcast days.

David Hoey, the Senior Director of Merchandising for Bergdorf Goodman, had the nerve to say of 2020's BG windows, "We did not take a year off." Really? They were boring and lazy af. Each one was a holiday or positive word with a pattern behind it! At least "This year we return to the opulent mad windows we are famous for."

It was hard to get into the holiday spirit with a temperature of 70 F/21 C, but Friday is 49 F/9 C so....

There was a holiday sculpture installation in Pulitzer Fountain that was kind of cute, Fifth Season, Fifth Avenue. It'll be fun seeing it lit up after dark when I finally do a night drive.

Since I Dont Know How But They Found Me is putting out a deluxe edition of their Razzmatazz album, they released some of the new music to their YouTube. Standouts for me were the demo version of "From the Gallows", which is so warm, their cover of "Boys Don't Cry", and "Modern Day Cain (Slow Jam Version)."
