When It Rains

I had an early morning mammogram and sonogram that took an hour and a half and left me so very tired and hurting that after I got home I slept for a few hours and woke up at 4:15 pm, whereas the Food Stamps office closes at 5 pm and it takes 17 minutes to drive there, then you have to find parking.... I also woke up from my afternoon sleep feeling very weak and wobbly, even after I decided I didn't have enough time to go there today. Thus, I have another day to stress over trying to get the system to fix the problem.

My senator's office called me back, this time with someone who didn't know that I'd already tried calling several phone numbers about it first. She gave me another HRA phone number that I tried after my mammogram and sonogram, and that number also led to a full voice mailbox so I couldn't leave a message and no other options. An in-person visit it'll have to be.

Speaking of good times, the second roommate has decided to live with her boyfriend and move out and announced it today, after not paying September's rent and not saying a word about anything to us this month until today, September 8. I'm not totally surprised since she's barely been here since the pandemic began, but looking for a new roommate usually truly sucks and looking for one during a pandemic--with super high unemployment, masks, social distancing, and worries about being indoors--will surely be extra fun.
