Yesterday, my car's "check engine" light turned on for the fourth time since September. The last three times were all false alarms, but I bring it to my mechanics every time in case the newest one isn't. I'm waiting to hear what's up from them this fourth time

Sometimes the check engine light will come on if the gas cap isn't on tight. I had that happen twice in another car I had. Some cars are more sensitive than others.

Thanks. This was another false alarm and it was once again emission-related. My mechanic and I will continue to monitor the situation.
