Pass/Fail
I've been watching and reading fic for Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia even though I'm well aware I'm not even adjacent to the intended audience and still have some annoyance over the worldbuilding. Several annoyances! But a lot of the people writing in fandom have my back on a few of them, and even the work itself is questioning some of them as it goes on, at least as far as I've seen in the dub on Toonami.
It's just that putting people with super powers through their paces and seeing how they use them in mundane life situations is my jam. The underdog protagonist is in my wheelhouse, even if he's too masochistic and forgiving. There are a few characters in the large cast I enjoy, as well as some m/m stuff you could read as platonic or romantic.
With the seemingly thousands of fan authors writing, I have no need or urge to write for it, though.

I'm watching Boruto for a lot of things that aren't the title character, whom I hate. I'm watching the ninja exam episodes hoping not just that he fails but also that he fails hard. Something to shake that arrogant, know-it-all-I'm-better-than-you-I-don't-need-to-put-any-effort-in sneer. Too much natural talent, making it all too easy for him, and no drive or compassion.
Am I supposed to want to shake a lot of the teen characters in this show? The Naruto kids weren't this obnoxious....
