I've been using a L'Oréal Preference color because what you see on the box is what my hair ends up looking like, a somewhat-better-than-natural-but-not-overly-so auburn, but when I was determined to finally dye my hair Wednesday after six months all I could find was the last box of L'Oréal Féria and I didn't want to wash my hair to go out to a store (and thus wait another day to dye because your hair has to be unwashed for it) and yolo so I used it. My hair came out so screwed up looking and uneven, the most ridiculous I've ever gotten from Féria: sections of dark pink-purpley dark red, sections of auburn, bits of brown (though not my natural brown), bits of strawberry blonde shading a little into copper, none of it in an aesthetically pleasing or intentioned way, yet the obviously fake color at the top of my head makes it obvious this is something I did to myself. *g* At least it'll fade eventually into a more sedate red-brown-blonde thing and I don't have some straight-laced job I need to show my head at every day until it does. Put up in a bun like I tend to do on hot, humid days like recently, my hair looks a lot less insane, though the color on view is obviously completely fake.

I don't know if this is an actual or fan-made Aquaman poster, but it takes me back to my Trapper Keeper days.
