Sometimes I think of what Schuldig might think of our current times.
"No, I'm not going to do any jobs in the US. The American mental ambiance is currently like a bag full of rabid cats drowning in a river, while most of the cats also have guns they were never trained to use correctly."
"Brad, your president makes Jim Jong Ung look mature and sane by comparison."
"Brad, your president is making me root for the French president."
"Schu, he's not my president."
"The looming threat of massive nuclear war, huh? I guess the 80s really are coming back."
"Schu, your fashion sense never left them."
"You wish you looked this good."
"I guess 'Making America Isolated From and Hated By the Rest of the World Again. Also, White Nationalism Forever, Yay Fascism, and Fuck the 99.7%.' was too long to fit on a baseball cap."
2016 wasn't a good year for telepaths. 2017 really wasn't a good year for telepaths.

Maggie Stiefvater's All the Crooked Saints was too whimsical for me, and the narrative style was obtrusive and too cute and often had more personality than the actual characters.
