I watched The Dark Tower recently. It wasn't The Dark Tower, not even close, and it wasn't even good for what it ended up being. The plot managed to be boring and too much about the kid, Idris Elba came off as just perpetually grumpy, and Matthew McConnaughey somehow had zero menace. People really thought they could build a series off this mess?
Though The Dark Tower might be impossible to put in movies: it's a long, weird, and occasionally problematic and self-indulgent tale. It also features a character I love, Eddie Dean, who had no role in the movie, even though a lot of the movie dealt with some of the events of the second book, which he was introduced in.

I tried Big Gay Ice Cream's Rocky Roadhouse flavor on sale. It was... gritty. Altogether, it was more textures than flavor: somewhat gritty ice cream, solid almond pieces, faintly squishy mini marshmallows. I barely tasted the hazelnut fudge swirls, which is a shame since I really wanted to. It was just a mild chocolate flavor and textures. Not worth it at all.
