How Appropo

As I was watching Comedy Central on my roomie's TV tonight, since her cable box still has all its channels, I got to see South Park and, to a lesser degree, The Daily Show deliver some well-deserved body blows to Time Warner Cable, all within an hour and a half!

time warner cable, south park, tv

WTF is the deal with time warner? when I lived in NY we got good service from them, did they get bought out or is their service just going to shit like everyone elses because they are aren't bothering to invest in good service anymore.

They know they're the only cable game in town so they can get away with whatever they want? I dunno, they've been bad during all the years I've dealt with them. South Park's explanation of TWC getting off on its sadism might be correct.

ahhh....monopoly.

Satellite costs about the same if you can get it where you are.

One account services the whole apartment, so I pay $10 a month. I doubt satellite could match that.

are you talking about it covers all the tvs, or all the apts in your building? satellite gives you boxes for each tv in your place....but yeah, if it's somehow the whole apt complex you're not going to beat that.

Our apartment, in which we have four cable boxes. We split it three ways. K and I each pay $10 a month to J, who's the lesee and handles all the utilities for the apartment. We get HBO, Showtime, Starz, and many On Demand channels. All the movies (that I haven't borrowed from the library) and all the anime I've seen lately come from cable's On Demand channels.

I wouldn't be able to afford a place in a borough of NYC on my own.

for all it's a crappy shack, I'm grateful for the place I've got because I wouldn't be able to afford rent anywhere on my own. I'm barely meeting bills as it is.
