Although my condition left me too beat up feeling to make it to Fashion's Night Out Thursday, I did take a lot of photos of various, more interesting than usual store windows along Fifth Avenue the day and night before FNO. I took more shots of Bergdorf Goodman's 111 Years of Extraordinary windows along Fifth Avenue, though I'll have to return another time to catch their new displays along 57th and 58th Streets, which hadn't been finished yet. They also wrapped the building with purple ribbons. Henri Bendel currently has mannequins in the windows and in the store dressed in the sexy/weird costumes created for Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity. The photo to the left is of a fly-inspired ensemble created by Thierry Mugler for the show's emcee, originally portrayed by drag diva Joey Arias. wirrrn, I think you in particular may be amused by some of the close-up shots I took of this costume. Unfortunately, I didn't get good photos of the ones inside the store from outside.

Saks Fifth Avenue brought out Rootstein mannequins with hair and makeup again so I went absolutely nuts shooting them because I am so tired of featureless, hairless mannequins. Besides, Rootstein does figures in some really idiosyncratic poses.

You can see the photos at my Flickr and my deviantArt, but here are a few more photos for you guys (click on image to embiggen as usual):

First, shoes.
