Being Disappointed

My f'list has been enjoying Being Human and... I don't get it. I was interested by the concept, but I hate these people. To me, they alternate between whining and screwing each other over. I also dislike entertainment based on one cringe-inducing experience after another. I have an embarrassment squick and don't find character contortions in such situations funny. I am also so tired of angsty vampires.

Does any of this get better after the first episode?
