Dad Update
My father and brother went to the oncologist yesterday to get further details about his condition, how aggressive his cancer is, etc. The news isn't the greatest, though not the worst. The cancer is far more aggressive than first anticipated. There is a very strong likelihood that it has progressed to his pelvic bone. So, he is getting started on an IV treatment for that immediately. He will be checked monthly to see how that and the other treatment for his prostate is going, and then we wait. And that's it. sigh. He is in pretty okay spirits. My brother is more nervous. And I'm okay. As my father says along with all of the other wise AA folks: "A day at a time."
