Entry 8: Lecture-Viral Replication [Action]

May 05, 2011 17:43

[Mr. Wesker finds that a number of the students are falling asleep during his lecture, or just not paying attention at all. He's looking more like a teacher, and has the attitude to match. How hard is it to stay awake and take notes on virus replication? He continues, walking around the classroom, sometimes slamming into the walls since his already ( Read more... )

[Ten pages about a virus? All right, writing that down in his planner to remember. Then putting said planner away to take this quiz which should be easy since he didn't fall asleep this time around, especially not with Mr. Wesker crashing into walls and everything else. So strange.

Going up and turning in the quiz now.]

... What style of citation is required for the paper?

[OOC: Really, making stuff up since I have no idea of any Japanese citation rules. APA, MLA, hit me with your best shot. XD]

[Wesker takes the quiz from him, looking it over.]

I am surprised, Minato. Normally you are one to suffer from narcolepsy during my class.

[He slowly sets it down on the others, being careful to NOT destroy his desk this time.] Standard MLA format with at least five sources. Do you already have a topic in mind?

[He couldn't argue against that. The situation was different though; no one could miss the teacher acting that clumsily.]

Mn. [A nod. At least he was doing well in the class despite the fact.]

... And I think so. HIV.

[And Mr. Wesker is still unaware of the fact that his clumsiness is actually keeping his students awake.]

Human immunodeficiency virus...It has had quite an impact on today's society, I must say.

[He pushes the glasses back to their natural place.] Very well. Do you have any other questions pertaining to the paper or about the class in general?

[It's all good; he'll fall asleep in Brennan's class next period.]

It does. It's why I'm interested.

[He took a second to think about it. He never really did ask questions. Maybe he should.]

... Double-spaced?

[To make it single-spaced or not...that was the question.]

I do prefer papers to be single-spaced, but I am allowing for this one to be double. Also, you may use figures if you so choose.

[Ten pages double-spaced? Done and done. Totally got out of writing a ten-page, single-spaced paper.]

Graphs and tables? I may need to include statistical information.

It would be advised considering your topic. However, the figures will not subtract from the page requirement. The paper must be ten pages of text, not including graphs and tables.

[Wesker is really trying to drive home this page requirement thing, it seems.]

[Minato nodded. If it had to be ten pages single-spaced, he would still do it.]

I understand.

Are you all right, if I may ask? [Really, running into walls is not normal.]

Good.

[He raises an eyebrow.] Yes, I am all right. Why do you ask?

[Minato shook his head this time.]

It's nothing, Sensei.

Will you be available after class to review a rough draft?

[Odd how oblivious he remains to his clumsiness...]

Very well. [back to a neutral expression] I will be available in the teacher's room after class to look over a first draft, yes.

[Yes. Very odd. Minato decided not to think about it if Wesker said he was fine.]

Will you be there tomorrow? ... I can get a draft done tonight.

[Studying a virus. It looked like it was time to go to the library for some research.]

I will be there today and and tomorrow, yes.

[He raised his eyebrows and smiled.] I wish the other students were as motivated and enthusiastic about this paper as you, Minato.

Okay. Thank you.

[Minato had his hands in his pockets by now like normal. If he had to study, he would. School was school.]

Everyone has different interests. [And varying levels of motivation.]

Indeed. [back to the neutral line face]

Do you have any other questions about the paper or the class?
