Inspired by DeLana :)

DeLana thanks for my comment, I read your last couple entries and realized that I should update this more. I'm not in school for another 2 months or so, so hopefully I'll update more. :)

So life... I'm glad summer A is over, I got two Bs in my two classes so that'll keep my GPA good. I could have worked a lot harder for them though. Oh well, what's said is done. It's nice not having to worry about juggling school AND work. That's one thing i envy John for what he learns and trains for IS his job and he gets paid by the minute for it. He has weekends off, well for the most part, and gets to wear cute uniforms to work. lol :) Well, not all of them are cute :)That's why I can't wait to get rid of school, I want to hurry it up and get a real job. I shouldn't be wishing away my college years but it happens. I want to get married too. I want to finish school before I get married. Even though if John asked me to marry him, I would marry him tomorrow. I love that man to death. Things will get easier when college is done because then I can move up to where he's going. At church yesterday they asked everyone to stand if you've ever served our country. And then after those men and women were recognized, he asked the families and spouses of someone who's served our country to stand also because my pastor realized that the families go through a lot too. I wanted to stand up so bad. I can't express enough how much respect and emotion I have for people in the military after John.
On a not so positive note, no plans for me being a bridesmaid anytime soon. My friend Sarah cancelled her engagement with her Marine. I think she's better off though. She broke it off because she went to visit him in Cali for a weekend and realized she didn't know him that well after all I should say. And speaking of Cali, Ginger and Andy are flying out there next week. I'm going to miss her for a week :(Steph will be gone the same week so I'll be down two good friends. Shucks.

Works going good. Boy are there some cheap ass people in this world. I had a table today that the lady asked for a mixed drink but she wanted it served in one of our special Kenny Chesney rum runner shakers (eck supporting country music) so I said I think it'll be extra charge but let me see how to ring it in for you. So I bring it out and say it'll only be xtra 2.99. She says,
"Oh well I would ahve never ordered it if I knew that it was going to be that much! I came here about a month ago and ordered it and I didn't get charged!" Okay lady, since when is 2.99 going to break the bank!?
Whatever. So since those are special seasonal shakers, you're able to take them home with you and we don't reuse them. Since her drink was already inside the shaker, I asked the bartender if I should put it in a different glass and he said just give the shaker to her. So she got to keep the shaker for free which usually comes with a 9 dollar drink.
So then I bring them their food when it comes out and ask if they need anything and they didn't so I come back a little later and ask again,
"everything going good over here?"
response, "Sure everythings going great" and I checked back a few more times also.
So then at the end of their meal I ask, "Would you guys like any desert today? Chocolate Stampede or cookie dough cheesecake?"
"Um my chicken wasn't cooked right"
me in a sympathetic voice, "I'm really sorry, you should have told me and I would hvae had them grill it for longer"
her-"I know, I'm sorry, I just didn't want to say anything because of the whole shaker thing"
So I bring the bill out, not asking my manager to take the food off because she could have asked to put it on the grill for longer, it's not my fault. And then after I bring the bill out the husbands like,
"uh can you charge us for only the baked potato, that's all she ate"
Which is clearly not the case, she ate almost half of her chicken that wasn't "cooked right" so whatever I tell my manager and she walks by the table to confront them and they told my manager that I never went by the table after their meal for them to ask me to cook it longer. Give me a break you sorry piece of crap. You go to dinner in public restaurants as a game trying to see how much free food you can get.
I wasn't mad, I just think the whole situation is funny. People like that are stupid.

Anyway, July 4th plans. As of now nothing is definate. Stephanie wants to go somewhere with a boat to watch fireworks but I could care less, as long as i'm sitting somewhere and watching them, not like last year. No one has to work this year except Ginger but she gets out at 3:30 so that's not bad. We may go on my neighbor's boat or this new guy Steph is seeing's boat during the day and then go out to the beaches at night. We'll see. I figure a slumber party at my house might be ideal since the 'rents are out of town.

Oh yeah and one more update on life, I finally found a roommate! Since Sarah won't be moving out to get married any time soon, we're probably going to be getting a place together! I'm so excited!!! We're going to look around sometime soon but we already have a few places in mind.

But other than that, I am done! Hope I haven't bored you too much!

july life
