Friday bad news for someone close lead to the need to take them out and bring to mind other things.
Went to go see Jar of Flies @ Hell's Kitchen in Tacoma. Awesome show, though had some interesting characters in the cast.
Two very very drunk army gents in full dress getting shit from someone who appeared to be ex marine about being out in public in the wrong uniform. Amusing and aggravating all at once.
Then there was some drama between two-three girls and someone else's girlfriend which was confusing and to say the least there was one mostly sober one completely miserable and two very drunk ones... the sober one didn't have a license and was facing being driven home by drunk people so I asked where she lived and told her to keep walking away and get into my car.
By the time I got home it was three AM.
I had to be up for my first bellydance performance no later than 5:30am that morning. So I took a nap, got up, threw on clothes and went up to Everett to Melody's to gather for the drive out to Ellensburg.
We were passing one of the Bothell exits south and her jeep was complaining bitterly about a bad batch of gas (stuttering etc) it was decided to go back up to Everett and get one of the other vehicles resulting in starting our actual 'drive' about an hour late.
I was unable to nap enroute due to over curiosity and getting a third or fourth wind.
It was fine we were running late as the coordinator was also having a day and wasn't quite ready for us anyways. So we took some pictures then I did my performance. It was remarked by one of the girls that given the time I've had to learn the choreography they were impressed and I did just fine. Mom-Melody was proud of all of us and frankly I felt that was one of the better runs I've had through that piece. Good for me since I was on stage.
I expected to be more apprehensive but I found it was much easier to don that persona and literally strut and challenge in some of the free form pieces we were asked to do outside of the main troop piece.
We got home sometime about 4pm on Saturday and instead of going home and going to sleep I went to Don and Cambers to say hello and blink at them, and I got another wind so we came to my place to watch Resident Evil one and two.
I think I went to sleep somewhere after 2am.
I slept or a very long time, then the heat woke me up. Then I was awake but miserable. At one point coupled with sun exposure and heat exhaustion from the day before and general exhaustion I lost consciousness in the hallway of my apartment - then crawled into my bed and stayed there.
It was a very interesting weekend.
