Ok Go in Chicago, Part Three

Apr 18, 2010 14:18

Damian came back with his guitar and sat down to show Becky something. That, that was pretty epic, in a room full of epic.

A few minutes later, the staff person came back and started ushering us to the door. At that point, I was able to shake Dan's hand as I was leaving the room. Gosh, I love the drums. Too bad I couldn't get that out in the minute or so I was talking with him. Just told him I was a fan since January and love their stuff. He thanked me and told me he was glad that I liked their music.

Byes all around. We were led back into the little hall, given small posters that had been signed by all the guys, and told the procedure for presenting tickets and the Will Call booth and generally where to go now. I broke off with the gang, telling them I needed to catch up with my friends and that I would hook up with them in a few minutes.

At some point while in the room, I don't know at what point, maybe in the middle of the time we spent in there, Damian started hugging people. I didn't see him start, but I saw him hug someone a few feet from me, saying that he was collecting hugs. He came to me and hugged me. He came to me and hugged me. Uhm. He came to me and hugged me. He hugged me.

He's really freaking skinny. Apparently my type is guys who are tall and skinny, with dark hair and light eyes, cute, handsome and intelligent  (exception of the brown eyed David Tennant, who is everything else the above). Hence, my husband, although a dozen years of marriage and my cooking as filled him out a bit!

As we were leaving the room, realizing I had not greeted Damian specifically and asked him to shake hands, I said to him, "Well, I could hug you again!" And he did so. He hugged me. He hugged me for the second time.

At another point, again sometime in the middle of the time we spent, there were group pictures taken of the boardies and the band. I ended up on the floor directly in front of Damian. I figured, hey, group shot, we should stand in layers. A few pictures later, a new camera was picked up to take shots, so I looked up at Damian and said I hoped he didn't mind me kneeling before him. He laughed. =D

A few minutes later, I realized that these picture would be all over the boards, and there I was with my overweight self. I think I'm now motivated to lose weight. Treadmill?

And that's where I'll stop for now. =D

Except, I'll just say: I met the band.

ok go, not as we know it, philes
