Looking at the stars
Spread out down beneath my feet
A lake in my dream

On a day like this
It is wise to remember
Good things come in threes

When asked why, I thought:

Stealth of the leopard
The prey caught unawares
Unintentional

Pomegranate seeds
Without protective cover
Fermented in store

Snow brings out so much:
Peace, wonder, awe of nature,
overreaction...

For yesterday:

The sound of a chime
Interrupts the day's routine
Hope hurts when it's lost

For today:

The first rays of dawn
Reach tired eyes through the window
Shutting them at last

The most mundane things
Across the computer trails
Delay the outdoors

The warmth of sharing space
In your silly pink-sheeted bed
Waking up to snow

The breezes whistle
As the shadow passes by-
All the zombies- dead.
