back to school
well, i FINALLY...after a 4 year absence...made it back to school. The day was alright. I pretty much roamed about feeling my way around the campus, as it's pretty big. It's no little 13th grade Southern Union Wadley Chapter, that's for sure.
The only downside makes for a pretty funny story. Because there is no parking anywhere, and because I haven't figured out how the campus shuttle buses work yet, I had to park about a mile and a half down the road and hot foot it up to the building where my classes are. That blows hard in 90+ degree weather. I walked in my first class looking like I just ran a marathon. I usually like to be 'so fresh and so clean' at school, and nasty and stankin at work. I'll have to figure out something for thursday. Actually, I just hope that was some week 1 fuss, and by next week I can actually park in the parking lot DIRECTLY ACROSS from my building...but I doubt it.
So much for the 'convenient parking'...when you have to share about 100 spots with 20,000 people...give or take. I have no idea actually..
That's really my only gripe. The campus is nice, my classes seem to be very hands on and interactive, which is a plus.
So far, all my plans for 2005 have went off without a hitch, but im knocking on wood as I type this!! By next semester I'll be full time, with any luck
