The cd is out on Aug 16th, but it leaked today...and I'm very impressed. FINALLY, I have the album to accompany the t-shirt i've had for over a year. It's about time! Anyway, I sorta kinda halfway reviewed this cd somewhere else, so I'll paste that here. Read on..
I know it's a little early, but the Soopa Villainz album is out online. As usual, I'm downloading it like a crack fiend the very second I find out it's leaked.
I'm about halfway thru it now, and I'm really diggin it. It's different, that's for sure. All the random scratches are hilarious. You guys should have heard Violent J ramble on and on and on and on about the Soopa Villainz project at the gathering. Pretty much, he had everyone super hyped to hear this album. The only thing I can't figure out is why I'm not completely pissed off, because the album supposedly gets you worked up and mad by the end. I guess that's how Violent J makes a few extra CD sales..haha
I really dig this shit. It's probably the most original sound to come out of Psychopathic since the rock band fiasco (RIP Zug Izland)..
Anyway, if you give 2 shits at all about ICP or whoever, give this album a listen. It's up for pre-order at hatchetgear.com
