Today we're going to Chicago. I'm super excited, as we're staying in a B&B run by Benedictine monks. I don't know what we'll be doing otherwise (perhaps seeing Body Worlds 2?) beyond eating tacos, but it'll be the fun. At the very least, it's a weekend out of town which is much needed right about now.

I went out Saturday night. Lots of fun was had. Friends slept at our home because there was so much fun. I got up Sunday and made everyone corned beef hash and fresh soda bread. It was good ( Read more... )

We had a blood drive this morning.  It was awesome.  Many folks came, and most of them gave.  (I wussed out because I'm currently already losing blood. Well, that and I hate needles.)  We got 68 pints from people, which is tons.  And we had to stop letting people in at 3; it still took the Red Cross folks another hour to bleed those that were ( Read more... )

Friday night I got off work, ran home to change out of heels into hiking boots, grabbed my BOB (aka bug out bag, go-kit, emergency bag, etc...), and headed to the Tap Room with mangledpuppies.
