Because I know you're dying to read about my (not really) exciting life, I shall post midway through the weekend. Last night I hung out with
lacking_pulse and
jerad_w at their house, watching Freaks and Geeks. That show is pretty good, which explains why it's no longer on the air. I think I'll now have to watch the remaining episodes so I can know what happened. And the actor from Tristan and Isolde is way better in this show than he was in that movie.
Today I got up early and hit the TGP Market. I only got some blackberries, candy-like orange cherry tomatoes, and some purple field peas (much like black eyed pes, but you have to shell them your own self) since I'll be leaving town on Tuesday. The blackberries and tomatoes are already greatly diminished in number since they're so tasty to eat out of hand. Yum.
Then the boy decided to redo the back part of the kitchen, where I imagine normal folks would have a breakfast nook. It was a sitting area for a while, then storage, and now it will be my very own crafting area. That was supposed to be in the bedroom nook, but that never really took off. Then I had a wall in the office, but that afforded no work space. Now I'll have shelves and drawers and a little desk to sew on. Yay! Next weekend we're going to paint some of the shelving blue and move all the stuff over there. I'm super excited.
Afterwards I met up with several coworkers at the Tap Room to watch
Rats and People, a band full of more coworkers. I've been promising to see them for a bit, so I decided I probably should make an effort to get there. It was suprisingly good and full of the country. And an accordian! Ran into some other friends there, with and without LJs, as well as the roller girls. Quite a wacky time.
