I swept my balcony (all the leaves are now on our entry sidewalk). I tore my half-live tomato and my dead tomato out of their pots. The basil needs to be removed, but it's not dry enough yet to just toss in a pile that I'll deal with later. (All the big stuff has to be trumped through the house and backyard to the dumpster. That's a long ways to go with big prickly plants.) My cayennes are still producing. I guess no one told them it's autumn now. But that's ok, I love me some cayenne. Does anyone know if I can use dried ones to make pepper vodka?

Tonight I shall be a good citizen and volunteer. For the first time in eons the boy is going, too. He'll be dispatching, so I'll have to be all professional talking to him on the radio. How strange.

In other news, Devi is snoring. She's never done that before. It's very weird.
