ok, damn it. i'm not very happy about this damned NHL lockout. since being able to experience the thrill of the Dallas Stars games last season, i've become an even BIGGER fan! i'm PISSED that these guys can't get their shit together and come to a decision! it's like the baseball strike back in the 90's all over again! i'm infuriated!!! what ( Read more... )

why thank you! :) i too have always been an artist at heart, but i've got a lot of other lil things about me that would probably shun me from the "goth" community. not that i care, i've never been one to care what MOST people think about me. hehe. i'm a redneck, too. lol. i'm very proud of my lil hillbilly roots. hehe. my dad's a huge deerhunter, so at 12 i was out hunting with him. i knew at the age of 2 that bambi was not only dead and hanging on my living room wall, but he tastes great too. hahaha! my dad and i would bond over fishing and hunting and of course, watching sports. now it's cool to drink a beer and watch sports with him. my next objective: to take him to hooters with my boi and eat hotwings. hehe

i couldn't agree with you more about competition. i may not show it much, but i have quite a competitive streak in me... i LOVE to get rowdy at/about a good football/hockey game. :) i think it's really cool for a person to show/admit that there's more to a person than just one side of them. no one's ever truly one dimentional. i think it's really cool that you played football and lacrosse. :)

and omg, i feel the same way about music right now. there's not any new bands that have really captured me. so i stick to my favs: megadeth, type o, and korn.

You are so cool!! I knew it!! Us Scorpios know the deal!!

Funny what you say about the "goth" community. When I was growing up there was never such a term. We were either called "new wave", "wavers", or the now all-encompassing and meaningless "alternative". The difference is...back then we really were alternative, we didn't have to go to the shopping mall and get a tattoo or a piercing to prove it (actually you couldn't get such things at the mall back then!!).

One thing about competition that I have noticed in my life is that confident people who are winners love it...and people who lack a competitive streak at all, well they may be nice people and fun to hang with...but they seldom go anywhere. I don't mean to generalize, but it just seems that competition makes you better and try a little harder.

As for Hooters...YAY!! I love Hooters, the vibe is so fun. They just opened one up back in May a block away from my apartment right on Hollywood Blvd. Unfortunately, the girls who work there have way too much of that L.A. greedy/rude attitude and mentality that I can't stand. I like the Hooters in other parts of the country waaaaay better. Either way, their wings ROCK!!

Funny you should mention that about Type O and Megadeth. Some reviewers have compared my music to Type O's. And Megadeth...well...I used to have written all around the shaft of my lacrosse stick "Killing Is My Business And Business Is Good", and along with S.O.D. and Pantera were among the songs I used to love before games.
