.my sports commentary. (yes, coming from a chic!)
ok, damn it. i'm not very happy about this damned NHL lockout. since being able to experience the thrill of the Dallas Stars games last season, i've become an even BIGGER fan! i'm PISSED that these guys can't get their shit together and come to a decision! it's like the baseball strike back in the 90's all over again! i'm infuriated!!! what happened to people playing for the fucking thrill of it? what happened to the fans?!
don't get me wrong, i love my Stars. i love Mikey Mo *purrs*, Billy Guerin, Sergei, Lehtinen.... every last one of them! but damn it boys! you're killing your fans here! this was one of the reasons i look forward to the fall season! grrr....
and to add to my frustration with sports... NASCAR is being shown on TNT! WE DON'T HAVE CABLE/SATELLITE!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!
sure, there's still baseball. and our boys, the Rangers, are actually doing well. (as big of a shock that is. but i'll always be a die-hard Rangers fan because they're my hometown boys.) but the season is almost over.
the Cowboys can't get their shit together. yeah yeah, Bill Parcells... whooptie doo. he'll end up getting canned eventually like the rest. with a crazed dictator like Jerry Jones at the helm, we're never gonna have anybody worth a damn around for long. however, for the same reason i'm a die hard supporter of the Rangers, i support our Dallas Cowboys because they are our hometown team.
but i still like hockey and racing better. *pouts* and i can't watch either one of them............
......oh i miss the days jeff and i could go up to Don Pablo's, sit in the bar, have the bartender turn the Stars on one tv and THE race on another. *deep sigh* yeah, those were the days.
