Some quick notes on how the rules around here work-
In general, we like to be hands off mods. Posting pictures of vintage photos is not rocket science, and by en large we even leave the definition of “vintage” and “photo” up to interpretation.
There are rules in this community and they were established for a reason that doesn’t seem clear to a few, so now after a peppy thread this morning and a few WTF private messages, I’ll lay this out in black and white and we can discuss it if need be.
The rules here were democratically decided, then reduced to the minimum possible set, but ultimately they were decided to cater to the world as a whole rather than US and Russia (which would both like to be the prevailing mentality).
So, lets talk about nudity. It used to be that the guy who set this community up was from Washington USA, and all nudity had to be under a cut. The vast majority of the world doesn’t regard the female breasts as nudity, and so we got MANY complaints from Russians, Europeans, South Americans, Scandinavians etc. wanting to know why adult female breasts had to be under a cut. People in the US *culture* responded “because they are naked!” well, as we are ones to cater to the interest of the majority rather than cut features to the least common denominator, breasts win out. In this case, World> US, the US can be offended and the rest of the world need not worry about cuts. I repeat we WILL NOT create rules to cater to an offended minority. That is a slippery slope, and it leads to burqas on drivers licenses.

Majority rules period.
Similarly in December a few years ago posted a photo of a naked kid, full frontal in a gaucho hat. Now, I get it, who here has never seen a naked baby picture? BUT in Latin countries 10 year olds are “babies” and pics of them naked are totally acceptable and cute. This kid in this picture was about six.
There was a beef.
The community went, Uh.. dude, that is like kinda kiddy porn, meanwhile the Latin countries went “WTF it’s cute”. In that case, Latin countries < the rest of the world and international law regarding kiddie porn.. Sorry folks.
We will change the rules if the community thinks It’s necessary, this has happened before. Rules have been added and changed. But don't get all offended if we don't change a rule to suit your needs no matter how easy and accommodating it may seem to you to change it. If “you” suddenly become a group of ten or more participating members saying, hey we have a problem, can we vote on this? It will make it to the table, but don't get all bent if the vote goes up and you don’t get your way.
“But Anders, you are a fascist and I’m offended”

This group has over nine thousand members and has been going strong for seven+ years, this is no accident.
