Help!! Make me blonde!

Hello this is my first official post! This community is literally a hair life-saver! I get so bored with my hair but thanks to all you lovelies I am now never short of styles and techniques to practise with!

But I am still a bit bored :P and now I am looking to go blonde! At the beginning of the year, I tried to persuade my hairdresser (and boss!)

I agree...there might be some dispute over the appropriateness of this comment but there are also many gorgeous blondes. Have you tried searching through the tags? I can recall seeing a few posts about how people have obtained and maintained their color.

Go to a salon you have way too much hair color history going on in that length of hair to try and do it yourself. I taught hair color for over half of my 13 year career in the hair industry so you can trust me when I am telling you to not attempt yourself. The girls here will tell you I am pretty honest about what is reasonable to attempt yourself and what isn't. Now if you go to a salon and they still tell you no it would be for good reason. I can tell you I honestly think based on what you described has been done to your hair and where you want to go with it it's going to be a huge challenge even for the best of hair dressers let alone trying to do it on your own. Much will depend on how much of your hair you want to keep in the end because likely the ends are gonna end up significantly damaged and you will likely need to cut some length off.
