Help!! Make me blonde!
Hello this is my first official post! This community is literally a hair life-saver! I get so bored with my hair but thanks to all you lovelies I am now never short of styles and techniques to practise with!
But I am still a bit bored :P and now I am looking to go blonde! At the beginning of the year, I tried to persuade my hairdresser (and boss!) to give me blonde hair, but that wasn’t happening, so I ended up with half a head of blonde highlights on my shorter top layers, and the gingery-brown faded colour of my dark brown semi on the bottom layers, nice. I can’t believe I walked around with my hair like this tbh! Since then my hair has been dyed darker twice, the last time it turned out almost black. This was ok at the time, as the hair colour went perfectly with my prom dress/style. But prom was so 4 weeks ago… so I need new hair!
I’m quite the obsessive researcher when I put my mind to it, so after scouring the internet I found this very helpful site… http://www.blonde-ambition.co.uk/ as I am in England, a lot of the advice out there was irrelevant.
Basically I am looking for advice and guidance on what to do!! What products from the UK would you recommend, or if I really must go to a salon, what to ask for! Also I have a scalp that tends to get dry/ flaky spells about once a fortnight, I wouldn’t classify it as dandruff though! I'm not aiming for a bright blonde, just a natural light brown/dark blonde.
