Man, I love the typography in old stuff like this.

Since they're talking about clamping the lid on the pan, I think a triplicate pan might be a pressure cooker.

i don't think putting a pressure cooker in an oven would be recommended by any reputable manufacturer, lol.

no, dutch ovens are cast iron pans that can go into an oven or on top of a range. my son is learning dutch oven cooking at scouts!

I fell into this database called HEARTH (Home Economics Archive: Research, Tradition, History) at the Mann Library at Cornell University. Luckily, this time I had a goal. Next time? Who knows? I may never be seen again!

Anyway, this is the information they had on a triplicate pan.

Dude. NICE. Now between this info and the ad I found for triplicate pans, we know what they looked like and have all kinds of scientific data about them!
