I have *finally* matted & framed the portrait I painted of Friend. It was my first time cutting a mat, with the exception of practice scraps, most of which failed. If I may say so, the mat actually turned out looking just this side of professionally done. I'm pleased.

Now, if the subject will agree to an image being posted....

The portrait project is going better than expected! That's not to say that the end result will be a masterpiece - far from it. But it may turn out to be something I'd like on my wall, or maybe even good enough to present to the subject or the subject's family as a gift. Too soon to tell for sure, though.
