My current project is coming along nicely. This is only the mock-up; the fabric is not coutil and thus doesn't hold your shape. You do not want a corset that doesn't hold your shape. For a first try I'm really pleased with the current results. I do need to cut down the top - it's too large even though the rest fits.

( I am an immodest tart, but only because my shift is in the wash. Don't wear your corset like this at home, kids. )

One of the things I do is find things and haphazardly remake them to suit my costumes. For croquet tomorrow the time is the early 1900s. Originally I thought I'd be able to make a proper dress for the occasion. When the date got moved up, that went out the window - but I decided I'd damn well have a proper hat.

Look, capncosmo, I can prove the 1907 drawers happened. One leg floof is not as floofy as the other because these were made from left over fabric and I ran out. It's sad, but what can you do?

I have probably said this before, but I think I'm allergic to Japan. Or maybe just Tochigi. At the beginning of this school year (April), I had breakouts. Recently I have been working on a chemise a la reine, from a gorgeous striped voile that I bought from Pure Silks. The voile is, however, a LOT more transparent than I thought it'd be.
