MOVIE: The Departed
WHERE: INOX, GARUDA MALL, BANGALORE
WHEN: SUNDAY, 26TH NOV 06
WITH WHOM: PREM AND I

The movie came to my attention when one of my friends watched it and recommended it to me. So i was happy when it was the only movie available to watch when we wanted to watch a movie. The movie starts out very slowly with establishing the plot of the movie very vividly. The start of the movie almost starts building the motion of the movie in ones imagination, and you'd believe every instance of that given imagination to turn at some point, which is very interesting, it really doesn't go so crazy about it and that very thing grips you till the very end.

There are movies in which there is the good guy who is so nice and everything and given a choice you would wanna be that guy, not in real life - lets say - but in the very atmosphere of being watched and stuff like in a theater. That is a peculiar kinda phenomenon and the idea of its existence - i believe - have shown the way out through many movies that are generally patterned to have a sequel. In being a movie that attracts this phenomenon of associating oneself with a character in the movie in multiple order, the number sees itself dropping through the movie in its very gripping progression. So if you'd just wished like being Frank Costello, or for that matter Colin Sullivan or even Billy Costigan, chances are you would have wished being like some one else in the movie, whom you probably didn't even consider being in the first place.

So all in all its a very gripping movie and its beautifully crafted with memorable characters and that extra direction factor that really pulls the movie together to bag itself some really sweet appreciation.

WATCH IT IF: last night you thought, “aren’t there any good movies this season”, and also eating away some nachos and coke through the movie doesn’t get in the way of your dietary regiment.
DONT WATCH IT IF: you just came to mall and said, “oh heck lets watch a movie”
