Hell Bent For Pleather
Yarr, I got a new guitar strap today, and I don't much like it anymore, but all sales are final, so boo.
I got a new guitar amp head the other day. It's 160 watts of power. (Just so you know, that loud enough to play in most arenas) It's mindnumbingly loud. Whee!
I went to a foam party at a club with my cousin and some of his friends. They're good kids. We had a lot of fun, although I almost felt like more of a chaperone than anything else. Like, I'd be dancing with a girl, and some creepy douche would literally come up to us, and stare at her chest until I asked him what the hell he wanted. It was rediculously cold that night too. It was like 40 degrees, On May 1st. WTF? And what really sucks is that you can't wear nice clothes, or even long clothes to a foam party, or you'll ruin them. So I showed up in my lifeguard trunks and a thin T...let's just say it was a tit bit nipply out...and I felt really bad for the girls, most of them were in bikini tops. Holy glass-cutters Batman!!
The next morning I went to the Chicago Social Forum, which is modeled after the world social forum. I went to a very enlightening workshop about and how socialism can find a place within a market economy, and another on Wal-Mart. The only thing that soured the experience were a few REALLY leftist assholes, but perhaps I'll talk about them later.
