Only two cavities! YES! I've been religious with the rinses and stuff ever since I've been home, so hopefully I can put all those nasty thesis habits to rest and stop all the decay. I'm done with this teeth bullshit, especially now that I have to pay for it myself. But anyway, yeah -- two is a lot less than I was expecting, so yay.

Orientation wasn't bad. Our shirts this year are a sexy lime green, an actual step down from last year's bright orange. I need to buy a pair or two of khaki shorts and some board shorts to go with them. They gave me the morning shift (7:45-3:15) and put me in the plaster/pottery zone. I love how they keep giving me the art stuff. I'm probably the least artistic person you'll ever meet. Last semester my ass was saved because Nikki was really artistic, but this year the other girls I'm working with (all of them are new) came up to me and were like, "Hi, you've got a lot of experience with this, right? We're glad you're so artsy, because we're not! What do we do?"

Um.

Give them paper and some crayons.

No, but seriously, all the art girls seemed nice. None of them seemed like drama magnets, which is good. I have a zero-tolerance policy for drama. Or so I tell myself.

They cut out one of our pool days, so now we only go once a week. I'm kinda glad, because even though it means more planning for me, I don't have to worry about herding 30 kids around the pool. Getting them in, out, dressed, and fed was always a NIGHTMARE. It takes most of them 20 minutes to do ANYTHING, whether it's putting on shoes or eating a sandwich. Good lord. And then they're all like, "MISS STEFANIE, WHERE ARE MY SOCKS?!" I don't know, where did you put them?

They always look so offended.

Anyway, it should be fun. And it turns out that Steph is gonna be home for a little while so we're going to hang out tomorrow and catch up. She mentioned doing something wild and crazy, but sitting in her living room with a margarita is totally crazy enough. I feel like I'm eighty.

As always, I miss you guys and hope you're enjoying yourselves. You all know how to find me. Oh, and I rolled a troll rogue tonight named Filachi (named after the new Criminal Intent detective Filacci, but I didn't want everyone pronouncing his name wrong), so add him to your friends' lists if you want. I kept seeing troll rogues and they were just too cool. I do wonder if I'll make a permanent switch to Horde. Sometimes I think I might (I'm probably going to level another rogue, after all), but then I go back to wanting my night elves. Rogurt really is the man, but now that Vaunia is 70 I'm wanting to do instances with her.

Raiding is really up in the air. I wanted to do it with Rogurt, but my zeal has kinda died. If I do raid at all, it will probably still be with the Alliance. They have more idiots, but they're also generally more chill and less competitive. If anything, I'm going to put Vaunia in a very small, very casual guild that does maybe some heroics and a weekly Kara. I still have visions of putting Rogurt in Bloodforged, but I'll need to do a bit more with him before I attempt that.

And with that, I'm off to bed. Night.

summer, camp, teeth, work, wow
