dealing with overexposure

i started muay thai and jeet kune do yesterday! jeet kune do is the style created by bruce lee and muay thai is thai kickboxing and the national sport of thailand which is known for having the strongest kicks in martial arts and deaths during matches for people who didn't know. the classes will be teaching them both alongside eachother. i'm really pumped up about doing this and i took a trial class and signed up yesterday but it's going to take some getting used to because i did hapkido for a long time and it's quite different; the instructor kept saying to forget what i learned in traditional martial arts and made me do a few of the forms i already knew differently. i have the forms down pat but my boxing sucks; horace went with me and with him being a seasoned boxer he did those forms quite well but couldn't keep up with my kicks at all, go hapkido people! i was really looking forward to the next class which was held this morning...i look up at the clock and it says 10:30 and i'm panicking. the piece of paper says that the class starts at 10:30 and i'm not thinking rationally while trying to wrap my fists to get ready for the class. shit, they're going to start without me.

and then i wake up. i look up at my clock and it says 10:30, weird huh? oh man, i'm dragging myself outta bed and then i check the piece of paper with the class schedules, fuck, the class is from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, i missed it, aw double fuck, i had to pick up dan to go to the class with me too. oh well, time for breakfast.i eat my breakfast and i'm thinking, i missed out on class, i'd better go weightlift today and practice some forms to make up for it. i notice that there are two voicemail messages on my cell phone, must be dan. i check them and the first one was sent earlier at around one in the morning and it's dan,

dan:(in his low-ass voice as usual)vince? yeah, i'm calling about jeet kune do class. it's late right now and i was just wondering if you want to go later instead of tomorrow morning.

the next message was sent this morning and it's saying the same thing. i call him and he's all like, yeah, i knew you'd be sleeping in and i just did the same too. chills, so i had breakfast and went to the gym to weightlift and got home and practiced the new forms on my own. i had a good workout today, really pushed myself but i changed my program because i'm going to be doing a lot of working out with the classes. i didn't work on my legs today so i didn't bother stretching them and then during my ab workout i got a cramp in my leg, how the hell does someone get a cramp in their leg from an ab workout? it's weird and i hope it won't affect me too much, i can still feel it. i got home and played video games and here i am now. vacation is pretty boring but it's much needed in my case. k, gonna go now, must practice more.
