World Steam Expo Canceled
Well, today just went from bad to worse. I just found out why Abney Park won't be playing at the World Steam Expo; because the said event won't be happening next year. I don't know all the details yet, but it sounds like there was a lot of infighting and bad blood between the people running it. In the end, it was probably something that could have been resolved somehow, but you know that's not going to happen.
I'm really upset by this. The Expo was the only thing I really looked forward to for the coming year. I went every time since it began, and each time was outstanding. People simply flocked there because there's nothing here in the Midwest remotely like it. There were even people from Europe showing up. Sure sucks to live in the middle of nowhere.
But it looks like some people are trying to get something together at a smaller scale than the Expo was. I don't know if it'll get off the ground or not.
