There you go, Top Of The Pops is no more.
I watched the last ever episode last night, just for the hell of it. I haven't watched the show properly since the early 90s, and my main memories of the show were from the 80s, so it was interesting to see the likes of Janice Long presenting.
Anyway, the show was a mix of old clips, I'm guessing designed to show the show's high points. But they managed to pick all the most boring performances.
The show ended with Sir Jimmy Saville, in gold tracksuit, turning the lights off. If anyone had to do that it should be him.
As I've said before it's good riddance to a show that passed it's use-by date 10 years ago.
