I just had a call from Vodaphone about my contract. This chap was offering me a new phone and all that nonsense, but when I told him my average monthly bill he suddenly says "I'll have to ring you back" ...
I know phone companies are businesses like anyone else, but just because you don't use your phone all bloody day doesn't mean you have to have a crap service with crap support.
Actually I should realy go pay-as-you-go, but a) the selection of phones is utter shite and b) I'd have to get all my numbers transferred/tell everyone my new one.
Ultimatley, mobile phones are great if you use them alot. You get a funky phone, you get the best prices, everyone loves you. Drop below a certain level of useage and BAM! shite phones, really awful pricing, the companies don't care. Okay so I don't use my mobile all the time, but it's so handy for when you're travelling or trying to arrange some meeting. And txts are always a joy.
