A Few Various Things
OK, so I went onto amazon.com to see what was on my Wish List ('cause it's been a while). And on the front page of amazon is a little blurb about The Oxford Companion to Archaeology. Which I now WANT. So when I looked at my Wish List, I added one more thing. And then when I went back there to get this link, the front page was all these Archaeology recs (they probably knew to recommend it for me in the first place 'cause I bought The Cambridge Illustrated History of Archaeology last year when it was one of the reserve books for my Intro to Archaeology class. I got it out of the library a few times, fell in love with the book, and bought it. They also recced my old textbook that I still have, so maybe I'll read that more than I have already.
Also, the latest issue of Bitch Magazine came today. Yay! It's their 10th anniversary issue, which is awesome. And I just kind of flipped it open and found and awesome article on Mary Sues that I wound up really enjoying. So you all should go out and support a small, independent feminist magazine by buying it or (better yet) subscribing. Seriously, it's awesome. The articles are smart, funny, and interesting, the ads are really cool, and the interviews tend to be with really cool people.
