The rain was creating tracks along the study window as Lucius watched over the grounds of his estate. A house elf offered a salver with a letter upon it; Draco's tidy cursive was instantly recognizable. Lucius took the note and the elf retreated.
His son, attacked. He wouldn't stand for it. He took a sip of his brandy and sat at the large desk. Writing to the governors took very little time. He was asking for the execution of the hippogryff, and a formal apology from the Headmaster.
When the apology from Dumbledore arrived, it would be ripped up.
